Role Overview


KAI Nest is an emerging SaaS solutions provider specializing in innovative rule engines and workflow automation. We are seeking a results-driven professional who can build our sales engine from the ground up, generating qualified leads, converting them into closed deals, and gathering critical market intelligence to fuel our growth.


This is a B2B role where you will own the entire sales cycle: from identifying and generating leads to nurturing relationships and closing contracts. You will be the primary driver translating market opportunities into revenue, requiring exceptional communication skills, strategic thinking, and an aggressive, hands-on approach to client acquisition.


Key Responsibilities


1. Lead Generation 


  • Outbound Prospecting: Identify and actively source potential B2B clients through multiple channels including cold outreach, networking, referrals, and digital platforms.
  • Pipeline Building: Establish a robust and qualified pipeline of prospects aligned with our ideal customer profile.
  • Market Penetration: Develop and execute creative lead generation strategies to penetrate target markets and industries.
  • Lead Qualification: Screen and qualify leads to ensure alignment with our solution offerings and conversion potential.

2. Lead Conversion & Deal Closing


  • End-to-End Ownership: Take full accountability for moving leads through the entire sales cycle, from initial contact to signed contract.
  • Product Demonstrations: Organize and deliver compelling product demonstrations that clearly articulate value and directly result in client acquisition.
  • Negotiation: Lead all commercial discussions and negotiations, ensuring favourable terms while maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and nurture lasting partnerships with clients, ensuring smooth on boarding and long-term engagement.

3. Market Intelligence & Strategic Insights


  • Competitive Analysis: Conduct ongoing market research to understand competitive landscape, pricing dynamics, and emerging opportunities.
  • Customer Insights: Gather feedback from prospects and clients to inform product positioning, feature prioritization, and messaging.
  • Data-Driven Recommendations: Provide actionable insights on market potential, product-market fit, pricing strategies, and promotional opportunities.
  • Reporting: Consolidate intelligence into clear, actionable reports for leadership decision-making.

4. Go-To-Market Strategy, Roadmaps & Execution


  • GTM Leadership: Design and execute the Go-To-Market strategy for new products and features in coordination with Project Managers and BAs, identifying the most profitable entry points and channels.
  • Strategic Roadmaps: Develop detailed action plans, budgets, and execution roadmaps that translate strategy into measurable outcomes.
  • Partnership Development: Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships that accelerate market entry and growth.
  • Budget Management: Manage sales and marketing budgets effectively to maximize ROI on lead generation and conversion activities.

Success Metrics (First 90 Days)


  • Lead Generation: Build a qualified pipeline of at least [X](will be defined during onboarding based on discussions) potential B2B clients.
  • Revenue Generation: Successfully close the first set of B2B client contracts for our new SaaS offerings.
  • Market Intelligence: Deliver comprehensive market analysis reports with actionable recommendations.
  • Client Engagement: Lead all client-facing activities (calls, demos, negotiations) with flawless professionalism and measurable conversion rates.

  • Proven Lead Generator & Closer: You have a verifiable track record in both generating qualified leads and closing deals in B2B environments.
  • Exceptional Communicator: You possess flawless verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate technical value clearly and confidently to senior business leaders. Stuttering or hesitation is not acceptable.
  • Hunter Mindset: You are self-motivated, thrive in ambiguity, and possess the "0 to 1 mindset" essential for early-stage ventures.
  • Full-Cycle Sales Expert: You have extensive experience owning the complete sales cycle from prospecting to closure.
  • Strategic Thinker: You can balance tactical execution with strategic planning, translating insights into action.

Requirements


  • Experience: 2+ years of proven experience in a B2B sales role with demonstrable success in lead generation and deal closing.
  • Client-Facing Expertise: Prior experience in client-facing roles with end-to-end sales cycle ownership is mandatory.
  • Education: An MBA from a Tier 1/2 institute and a Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, engineering, or related field.
  • Industry Plus: Prior experience in a startup/consulting firm or with SaaS/IT services is a distinct advantage.
