About the Role:
We are looking for a Junior Business Analyst to drive our market intelligence and strategic value proposition efforts. Your primary responsibility will be to investigate and analyze target enterprise markets, business segments, and operational pain points. This investigation must culminate in actionable insights and high-quality strategic reports that quantify opportunities, assess risks, and inform critical investment and product decisions. You will translate complex research into clear, summarized data that guides executive strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Research & Quantitative Analysis-
Conduct in-depth market research on target enterprise industries (niches, segments, and trends) to identify and prioritize high-value adoption opportunities.
Lead the analysis of current-state enterprise processes ("as-is" state), mapping workflows and identifying specific points of operational friction.
Perform rigorous quantitative business analysis (e.g., ROI modeling, Cost-Benefit Analysis) to accurately forecast the potential efficiency gains, cost savings, and business impact our product can deliver to target customers.
2. Creating Valuable Reports & Actionable Insights-
Design, create, and own comprehensive Business Case/Viability Reports for new market segments. These reports must include clear data visualizations, key findings, quantified opportunity sizing, risk assessment, and specific, prioritized recommendations for product investment.
Develop and maintain standardized reporting templates (e.g., Market Opportunity Scorecards, Process Analysis Reports) to ensure consistency and clarity in presenting strategic findings.
Translate complex data findings into clear, digestible, and visually compelling presentations for executive and senior management stakeholders.
Develop core metrics and success criteria for assessing the impact of entering a new market segment or launching a major feature.
3. Value Proposition & Documentation-
Design simple, analytical Proof-of-Concepts (PoCs) that demonstrate quantifiable improvements in efficiency, cost savings, or operational performance, linking directly back to the initial business case.
Develop and maintain comprehensive Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) that clearly articulate the validated business need, goals, and success metrics derived from market research.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
1+ years experience in a Business Analyst role focused on market research, business case development, or quantitative reporting.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or Computer Science (with a strong business minor/focus).
Expertise in quantitative analysis, financial modeling, and data presentation (e.g., calculating ROI, modeling TCO, and scenario planning).
Proven ability to create high-quality, professional strategic reports that synthesize complex research into clear, actionable insights and recommendations.
Excellent written and verbal communication in English, with specific experience writing executive summaries and detailed analytical reports.
Proficient in preparing and updating detailed Business Requirement Documents (BRDs).
Advanced proficiency in spreadsheet tools (e.g., Excel/Google Sheets) for complex data manipulation, analysis, and visualization.
Good to Have:
Introductory knowledge of SQL and experience querying data for basic analysis and report generation.
Hands-on experience with Business Intelligence (BI) tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) or data visualization software for reporting.
Professional certification in Business Analysis (e.g., IIBA CCBA/CBAP) or related analytical field.
Familiarity with SaaS/cloud business models and enterprise software adoption cycles.
